Design
The exterior of the XC60 models feature Volvo's iconic design elements, including a large, geometrically-shaped mesh grille and Thor's hammer headlights. A side view reveals how the windshield gently slopes up and back while ending in a rooftop spoiler. Each door panel features a concave sculpt matched by a convex curve. A sharp character line emerges above the rear door handle to draw the eyes to the rear. Enlarged and sharply angled brake and taillights border each side of the rear window, which is installed in a rounded liftgate having angular accents.
The XC60's cabin accommodates up to five passengers in seats designed to offer comfort and support secondary to the bolstered and amply cushioned seats. Upscale fabric upholstery comes standard. However, consumers in Buffalo, NY desiring more opulent interiors might choose a monochrome model, or dual-tone themed leather upholstery along with metallic and wood trim. Overall, the cabin is designed to provide occupants with a smooth, quiet ride. The rear area provides 22.4 cubic feet of storage. Folding the back row of seats extends the space to 63.3 cubic feet.
